8 Mar 2018 What Will Happen? Part 2

What Do You Think Is Going To Happen? Part 2

I want to continue my thoughts on what I think will happen in various regions of the world. Sub-Saharan Africa will be the fastest growing economic area within five years. Technology is becoming widely available. It has an educated workforce that is growing every year. The biggest challenges will be ecological and governmental. We need to maintain the vast swaths of land that is home a variety of species of animals. Also, it is critical that we maintain as much of the rain forest as we can. There will be serious consequences if we continue to destroy them. Population control will also be a big factor in the success of the area.

A couple of European countries may lose their unique cultural identity starting in 5 to 10 years. This is due to a negative birthrate for the native Italian population. Unbridled immigration could change the dynamics of the country. The European Union has to come to grips with this issue.  It will impact Italy directly but also neighboring countries. Is it just an inevitable change that comes over time to each country?

Saudi Arabia has a young leader who is showing signs of change to the country.  Especially in the rights of women.  He faces a large faction of traditionalists who fight him.  We need to give him support to slowly change that country to an open society.  Saudi Arabia can lead the entire Middle East to bring the Sunni Islamic countries into the 21st century.  As I said yesterday, Iran is slowly changing too.  If these two countries can evolve and eventually become trading partners, it will be a seismic event.  I believe this will happen within 10 years.  The Sunni Shia schism needs to be address and will be by the younger generations there.

I am optimistic about the future. Even though we seem to have some intractable issues, the younger generations are so connected with each other around the world that they will ban together in an unstructured way to help solve these issues.
